Monday we made chili for the MACC tournament. We had to make a lot of it too. There were four teams of 3 or 4. We all had to triple the recipe for it.

The process of planning was easy, i knew what i could make. It was just a matter of when I could make the meal. Then I decided to help with thanksgiving dinner. It took stress off my mom as well as giving me the chance to do the project. I made other things beside the rolls, green beans, and punch, but thoughts are the ones I chose to put in for the project.
"A Place at the Table" is a documentary about families and kids not having enough food to have them go through the day. One girl on there was working and applied for food stamp benefits, but was $2 over the required amount to be accepted. Some kids were going days without food, and some were obese for there age because they couldn't afford healthier snacks and drinks. There were local food banks to go and get food or have food brought to you if you did not have the money too get it yourself.
Yesterday in class we had a Halloween party with different foods and snacks. We had haystacks, pigs-in-blankets, 7-layer dip, and popcorn balls. It was a lot of fun to make the foods, eat, and hang out. We watched "The Great Pumpkin" while eating.

This is my first blog post for this web-site. This site is for nutrition facts, recipes, and other things having to do with nutrition. It's is being worked on as a school project for a Food/Nutrition class. I'm a 10th grade student at Giles High School, and I plan to post and edit on this site on a regular basis to keep everything up to date. There will be many interesting things on this site, and I hope many people will look at and enjoy this site as I continue to work on it.
